On This Day In Women’s History:

November 14, 1906: Louise Brooks was born

🏛️ Redefining Entrepreneurship Through the Ages

Barbara Bradley Baekgaard's journey with Vera Bradley embodies the essence of unconventional success.

With no prior business experience, she and her cofounder sought guidance from businessmen, undeterred by potential competition. This insightful advice laid the groundwork for the birth of Vera Bradley in 1982 when Baekgaard was in her early 40s.

Leading the company until her resignation in 2017, during her late 70s, Baekgaard saw the transformation of a $500 startup, equipped with a ping-pong table as a makeshift desk, into an empire. Her venture propelled her into the ranks of the country’s wealthiest self-made women.

Now, in her 80s, Baekgaard defies traditional norms by venturing into a new domain—hospitality. Undeterred by age, she humorously claims the title of the "world's oldest entrepreneur". Her indomitable spirit and resilience continue to fuel her journey, showcasing that age is merely a number when it comes to chasing dreams and redefining success.
