January 8, 1867: Emily Greene Balch was born.

Emily Greene Balch, economist and sociologist, co-founder of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom with Jane Addams and others (1919), awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1946, shared with John Mott.

Today, Davis commands a massive following of 17 million devoted fans and is a familiar face even on the streets. Consistently creating three to four engaging videos per week, she has captivated audiences with her culinary skills.

Known for her discerning approach to brand collaborations, Davis prioritizes partnerships that seamlessly integrate with her persona, "Lynja." Her recent venture involves investing in and collaborating with Immi, a brand offering low-carb instant ramen that aligns with her culinary style.

Recognized for her exceptional content creation, Davis made it to the Forbes Top 50 Creators list in 2022 and clinched a prestigious Streamy Award in both editing and food categories.

Davis faced a challenging battle with esophageal cancer in 2019. Despite this, she maintains a profound gratitude for each day, cherishing her work and the joy of entertaining her dedicated fanbase. Her resilience and dedication shine through her inspiring journey in the digital landscape.

SALMON PATTIES TO TRY

👍 Live Well Now Approved | Balanced Macros

You Will Need:

1 (14.75-ounce) can salmon, drained

¾ teaspoon onion powder

¾ teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (from 1 lemon)

3 tablespoons minced chives or green onions

2 tablespoons mayonnaise

1 egg, beaten

½ cup plain breadcrumbs

5 tablespoons vegetable oil

Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)

Dill dip, for serving, see below (store-bought or homemade)

You’ll Need:

1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil

¾ cup mayonnaise

¾ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt

3 cloves garlic, minced

3 tablespoons minced fresh dill

1 teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon onion powder

2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice (from 1 lemon)

½ teaspoon sea salt

Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

In a medium bowl, combine the olive oil, mayonnaise, sour cream, garlic, dill, garlic powder, onion powder, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until smooth. Store refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 1 week.

Note: If you love the flavor of dill, feel free to add more to your liking!

Directions:

1. In a large bowl, combine the salmon, onion powder, garlic powder, Old Bay seasoning, Dijon, lemon juice, chives, mayonnaise, egg, and breadcrumbs until combined and salmon is flaked. Shape into 6 (½-inch thick) patties (about ⅓ cup each).

2. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the patties and cook until browned and cooked through, about 4 minutes per side.

3. In a large bowl, combine the salmon, onion powder, garlic powder, Old Bay seasoning, Dijon, lemon juice, chives, mayonnaise, egg, and breadcrumbs until combined and salmon is flaked. Shape into 6 (½-inch thick) patties (about ⅓ cup each).

4. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the patties and cook until browned and cooked through, about 4 minutes per side.

5. Serve with Dill Dip lemon wedges, if using.
