Cath Kidston: Crafting Success Against the Odds
Cath Kidston, a London native, embarked on her entrepreneurial journey at the age of 45, marking the birth of her eponymous company. Before this milestone, she immersed herself in the world of retail as a shop owner specializing in second-hand furniture.
The inception of Cath Kidston Ltd transformed her life, positioning her as a pioneer in vintage clothing and home furnishings. Remarkably, amidst a global economic downturn, her company soared to unprecedented success, defying the challenges of a worldwide recession.
In a pivotal move in 2010, Kidston astutely sold her company to investors, amassing a substantial ÂŁ25 million fortune while securing a seat on the board of directors, thus ensuring her ongoing involvement in her brainchild. Her strategic decision not only brought her significant financial gains but also enabled her to retain influence within the company's direction and vision.
Cath Kidston's remarkable journey stands as a testament to perseverance, innovative entrepreneurship, and strategic acumen. Her success story epitomizes the power of determination and resilience, showcasing how seizing opportunities amidst adversity can lead to remarkable achievements.

SIMPLE BUTTER LETTUCE SALAD
đź‘Ť Live Well Now Approved | Low Calorie
You Will Need:
2 heads butter lettuce, roughly chopped
1 cup castelvetrano olives, pitted, cut in half
1/2 cup panko
2 tbsp butter (or olive oil)
1/4 cup chives, minced
2 oz manchego cheese, grated
freshly ground pepper
Apple Cider Vinaigrette
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar (unfiltered)
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp olive oil
Directions:
1. In small bowl whisk together ingredients for the dressing, set aside.
2. In a small skillet set over medium heat, melt butter and add panko. Stir often until panko is golden brown in color.
3. Arrange butter lettuce on a large platter, shave manchego over lettuce and add olives, pepper, panko and chives. Drizzle with dressing right before serving and enjoy!
** If you dress this salad too soon, the panko will get soggy. We recommend saving the panko until after it is dressed and sprinkle it on right before serving.
