🎭 Ageless Wit: The Evolution of Leslie Jones in Comedy

Leslie Jones, a seasoned stand-up comedian with over two decades in the industry, remained relatively unknown until her breakthrough in 2014. At 47, she joined the esteemed cast of Saturday Night Live, propelling her into the limelight and earning multiple Emmy nominations for her comedic prowess.

Beyond SNL, Jones made notable appearances in various films, including Trainwreck, Masterminds, and the all-female Ghostbusters remake. Her talents also graced NBC's Olympics coverage in 2016 and 2018, further solidifying her place in the entertainment industry.

Departing from SNL in 2019, Jones continued to thrive in the spotlight. Her involvement in movies like Coming 2 America and hosting ABC's Supermarket Sweep reboot showcased her versatility. Moreover, she released a well-received Netflix stand-up special, Time Machine, further cementing her status as a prominent figure in comedy.

Leslie Jones's career trajectory is a testament to perseverance and talent, proving that age is no barrier to success in the fiercely competitive entertainment world. Her versatility and contributions across various platforms continue to captivate audiences and redefine the scope of comedic brilliance.

PEAR AND BURRATA CROSTINI

👍 Live Well Now Approved | Low Calorie

You Will Need:

1 baguette, sliced diagonally into ½-inch-thick slices

3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

1 large pear, cored and thinly sliced (we like bosc and bartlett)

8 ounces burrata, drained, torn into even pieces

2 tablespoons sherry vinegar

2 tablespoons honey

2 teaspoons fresh thyme leaves

Flaky salt, for serving

Freshly cracked black pepper, for serving

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F with a rack in the center position.

2. Lightly brush both sides of the bread slices with the olive oil. Arrange on a sheet pan in a single layer. Bake, flipping halfway through, until lightly browned on both sides, 10-12 minutes. Store at room temperature in an airtight container or zip-top bag for up to two days.

3. To assemble, transfer the crostini to a serving platter and arrange in a single layer. Top each crostini with a pear slice, a piece of burrata, and a drizzle of the vinegar and honey. Sprinkle with thyme, salt, and pepper. Serve.
